Message Waiting Light not working with Comcast

I have recently installed comcast service at my place of business and at home. In both locations the message waiting light on our phones is not turning on when I receive a message. I have missed over 70 calls between both locations since nobody warned us this would happen- what is the solution for getting the light to turn on?

The Comcast MWI is the FSK protocol.  Your local equipment, either a PBX, key system, or smaller business phone system must support or be programmed for that protocol.

 

You should discuss this with your Comcast business account person, and find out from the folks that installed your business phone system on what the protocol your existing equipment accepts.  It could be as simple as a programming change.
