I am looking to hook up my landline to a modem.  I do not want to rent from xfinity.  I am bundled with xfinity but returned my wifi router because it did not work for me but now I need something to plug my landline into.  Any suggestions?

You will need to look here for the list of approved Modems that Comcast will activate.  You will need an EMTA modem for the phone.
