Intermittent poor call quality

Intermittent poor call quality

On numerous occassions, we are on phone with someone and they can no longer hear us but we can hear them.  Also, I was at work today (called home) and same thing happened; I could not hear them but they could hear me.  Additionally, there were several instances where I could hear (what seemed like digital fading in and out of the audio on my side of the call - i.e. my wife's voice)....  very frustrating.  This first occured when my wife was on cordless, but she then moved to our hard-line phone and same thing happend (ergo not our phone equipment).

 

Any ideas?

Call Comcast support and they can do a health check on your eMTA telephony modem and they will see if it's caused by signal issues to your eMTA.  They most likely will need to send out a tech.
