Intermittent phone and internet getting worse

We are new comcast customers for only about 3 months and having trouble already.

In the last week or so, we have been frustrated with unreliable phone and internet connections, failing about  everyday and sometimes failing multiple times per day, which is not acceptable.

Sometimes when it fails we will power cycle the modem to reset it.

Last night the phone failed and I had to reset the modem.

The phone and internet failed this afternoon, again off an on in the evening,and failed at about 1am.

 

With the last failure, I observed that the modem lost the online and tel lights.  The internet was out and the phone connection only made a terrible noise even with a corded phone connected directly to modem.

The modem later rebooted by itself.

Is there a quick solution?

What did Comcast support say?  They can do a health check on the eMTA telephony modem and decide to send out a tech to get it fixed.

 

Call it in, and don't give up.
