Interference on cordless phone

Interference on cordless phone

I have triple play and just installed a new Panasonic cordless phone with three recievers.  The docking station sits on a desk above my computer with cable and wifi modems.  The docking station is connected to the phone line with a DSL filter.  Nevertheless, I receive static, voices and intermittant cut out of reception on all three cordless phones.  I have moved the docking station to an upstairs room but no better reception.  Any suggestions?  Thanks, Dave

Try changing the wireless operating channel in the router's user interface to a different one. The DSL filter is for DSL connections, not cable systems.

Re: Interference on cordless phone

Hello,

Maybe the cordless phone and the wireless router are on the same channel. Try changing the channel to something different inside the router.

Thanks to those who suggested changing the channel on my wireless router - that's got it.  No more interference.  davinda
