How to activate Voice (I have my code too)

Hi,

I recently transferred my home phone from Vonage to Comcast, with who I have an Internet. I got a call from Comcast with my pin a week back. I've connected the phone to the comcast internet modem and still I do not get inbound/outbound calls. I know I should activate - How do I do that? Many calls to comcast support did not help - they did not send me the link for activation help that I had asked for. Searching the support site goes in loops - what should I do to activate voice? 

I am reluctant to disconnect my vonage service yet without being able to activate comcast voice - or, should I?

What model modem did you have for the Comcast Internet ?   In order to have Comcast VOIP, you will need to have a "Gateway" device such as a TG862G..... this will do both services as In an Internet Modem and a VOIP modem....   you cannot use your Comcast Internet modem for Voice Services unless it is a gateway device that does both.  

 

I am betting that you are missing something....

1-855-652-3446 is the phone number for service activation. Note that the cable modem needs to be powered on and the Internet service needs to be working when activating the phone service. If there is a problem during the activation, your call should be transferred to a care agent.
