Fantom message causing dialtone stutter...

Fantom message causing dialtone stutter...

I had VOICE installed but am using with new cordless system w/ Ans machine so had COMCAST turn off VM. I had a VM indicator on my phones, but disabled the system's detection of VM to get rid os message on phone screens. However, it seems there was a message (probably a welcome to COMCAST VM...) that seems like it's still there causing the dial tone stutter. I want to get rid of that stutter tone. Help.

ADDED:

1) Phone system is Panasonic (and I siabled VM detection).

2) Some how got VM indication even though it was off just now

Re: Fantom message causing dialtone stutter...

Sorry, but no. I have already dis baled detection in the Panasonic system and there is nothing in the comcast preferences for VM since it's turned off. I was at a local service center yesterday and I knew more than them. I give up and won't call support again and they want to charge me $60 for a service call after they already spend 6 hrs here on saturday installing 2 TV's and VOICE.

Re: Fantom message causing dialtone stutter...

I havn't received any communication from COMCAST regarding myslutter tone and constant "VOICEMAIL MSG VIA PHONE CO".that keeps coming back even if I clear it in phone. I will cancel comcast if it can't get this seeminly simply thing resolved.

Re: Fantom message causing dialtone stutter...

Hi pipesmkr, our apologies for the delay in getting to you. From what I read, the stutter tone and new message waiting indicator has since gone off? Please let me know if I can assist with this.
