Does Comcast have very basic phone service?

Does Comcast have very basic phone service?

No calling features,  free local calling,  per minute long distance calling?

I know it may very,  what is the average cost per month,.

This one company,  I checked into,  you can get phone service for $13.00 no feratures,  free local calling, no long distance but you can add long distance at 5 cents a minute.   I think it uses VOIP.    One the Equipment.  Does AT&T cordless model #E2115 work with VOIP?  I know some cordless & corded phone models don't work with VOIP.  Does the VOIP require a modem rental as well?

Thank you for this information.

Re: Does Comcast have very basic phone service?

Comcast only has two levels of phone service, and both include all the custom calling features.  Only adding a 2nd line give the option to have a line without features.

The two levels are unlimited nationwide calling, and another with local calling, and then pay for long distance.

Prices vary widely by market area, but here's an example of one area's calling plans.  eMTA rental is additional, $7 / mo in many locations.

Most telephone equipment works with CDV, but there's alwasy a few that don't.
