Direct to VM intermittently/Early Morning Ringing

Yesterday, around 6 a.m. the phone began single rings as if Robo calls, back to back to back.  4 or 5 rings at a time.  This may have occurred over and hour, maybe more.  Hoped it was a one-time event.  These calls were not showing on the tv screen.  Usually, we see Robo calls on the screen briefly when we hear the one ring.

 

Today, at 5:15, it started again.  However, it occurred over a longer span than yesterday.  We finally reduced the ring volume.  Not sure how long it went on.  Again, these calls were not showing on the tv screen.

 

A caller couldn't get through to us earlier this week.  So we have began testing calling the house.  We are having intermittent calls direct to VM.  Yesterday, calling the house phone resulted in periods when calls were going directly to VM.  We were able to leave a message and pick it up on X-Connect and see them in email.

 

This morning, between 9:03 and 9:06 a.m. we tried 6 times and all calls went directly to VM.  At 9:31 tried and the call went through normally.

 

We have VM settings for 5 rings before going to VM.

 

So frustrating!  Does anyone know what is causing these events?
