Cannot receive incoming calls-800 svc kicks me out

Cannot receive incoming calls-800 svc kicks me out

Please help !!

 

 

For several days my home phone has not been able to receive incomming calls.  I can make outgoing calls, but when calling in, callers get a message that "call did not go through".

 

For several days I have tried  calling 1-800-Comcast & 1800-Xfinity, but the computer system keeps kicking me out!!

 

I have a special needs daughter at home with a nurse and I am not able to call and check on her !!!

 

 

 

Please help !!

Also, as an electrical engineer, I have done a thorough job in making sure the problem is not on my end.

 

Unplugged modem/cable wire.

I have attached old-style corded phone directly to back of modem

Unplugged phone line from modem,

 

I still get same problem

I am having the same problem.  Mine started on 4/1 in the middle of the day.  I have talked to Comcast twice and each time am told that they need to send the problem up to an upper level tech.  Really frustrated!

I too am experiencing this problem, the system was set up last week.  I called support and got the same response, the trouble ticket would be sent to a higher authority tech.  After reading these posts these tickets need to get into some higher managers hands, someone who can identify the problem and the solution. Hopefully someone will at least reply to the posts.
