Callers have problems leaving voicemail

It seems as though there is an intermittant problem with my voicemail.  Callers will get my message and then when they try to leave a message they get "Are you still talking?...".  I have gotten this myself.  When this happens, it asks you to press 1 or 2.  Pressing these numbers then don't work.  This has been a real problem since Day 1.  Recently, the Comcast representative created a new mailbox for me, but it is still happening.  This is getting very frustrating because it is so unreliable.  Has anyone else had this problem and did you arrive at any solution?  Thanks!

Thank you.  Please let me know whether you find something or not.  Unfortunately, this is becoming very frustrating (especially for my wife).

No problem. We made several calls to your voicemail from different regions. We also tried wireless phones. So far, we haven't experienced the problem. We will further check this issue. If you notice any pattern, please provide. Thanks.

We're looking for additional information for this issue. If you could provide

 

1) Caller's telephone company (service provider), such as Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, etc.

2) Is the call from a wireless phone or wireline phone?

3) Location (metro area) of the caller, such as NYC, LA, etc.

Unfortunately, most of the time I don't know this info because we get callers who are professional (Doctors, etc) that will let us know that they were not able to leave a message when they called.  We have some friends too that have let us know as well and I could try to get their info, but this does not happen every time they call.  In fact, this just happened to me two or three days ago when I called from work using a land line.  After I was disconnected by the "voicemail voice" (because I couldn't disconnect by pressing 1 or rerecord by pressing 2), I called my home phone again maybe about 7 times in a row and could leave a voicemail without incident.  However, we were notified yesterday at around 2 PM or so that another caller could not leave a message.  Also, I have no idea whether these calls get logged or not (under missed or answered).

Which company is the service provider of your work phone? In some cases, the problem is in the caller's network. We want to check with them.

I don't know.  I will try to find out.  However, my mom tried calling my house this morning and she had the problem I mentioned above.  I just checked the Smartzone for my missed and answered calls and there is no record that she even called.  She is using a land line with AT&T.

I found out that my phone network at work is AT&T.
