Caller ID not working since porting old number

Caller ID not working since porting old number

Caller ID and all the other features are not working since porting over my previous telephone number. I am using the exact same equipment (caller ID box and separate telephone) that worked fine with my previous carrier. The features DID work when I was given (a temporary) telephone number.

 

I tried disconnecting all equipment from electrical supply and from each other and the telephone line from the wall, waiting about a minute, then connecting it all back together.  The box still states :"UNKNOWN NAME" or after a few rings "PRIVATE NUMBER" but never any numbers, just dashes.

 

I really need all the features to work, since I am pre-paying for them, and clients will contact this telephone number after hours instead of at the office.
