I logged 45 minutes with chat last night because of the above plus voicemails not logging. He got voicemails to work but told me the rest would work after I rebooted my pc. Surprise surprise it doesn't. I cannot go through 45 more minutes of wasting time. Every time I go to chat for help it takes forever and the issue is never compeltely resolved.
Is there an easy way to fix this.
The Comcast Corp escalation team has been notified of you caller ID issues.
Please watch this post and your email Friday for updates from the team.
Thanks for posting your issue. We will look into this and circle back to you later today.
My experience has been similar. I've had several online chats and a few "talk to a person" phone calls. But at this point I've spent as much time as I'm willing to on getting Universal Caller ID to work (it doesn't work on either TV or PC). While it would be nice to have, it's a feature I can live without. I get the impression that Comcast released this feature before the bugs were really worked out.
Hi Jim - there are millions of customer's that use these features without incident. I apologize that we've not been able to provide a level of support to prove otherwise. I will share your information with our Regional ops team to look into and correct the problem.
Can you get your "top guys" to throw my name and account into the bowl as well??
I have had all and still have all the same issues as everyone else that has posted.
I just do not have any more time in the day to hammer away at it.
Someone called me and left me a message to call so they could troubleshoot with me. I just don't have the energy to waste another hour with no solution.
Maybe millions of people use this software without incident but then either your installation techs are not properly trained or there are bugs in the program that need to be fixed. Look how many posts you have from people with the exact same issue.
After I posted on this forum, I received a call from Comcast HQ. They were very responsive and researched the issue. Their conclusion is that my (brand new) Comcast boxes and modem are all incompatible with Universal Caller ID. Apparently Universal Caller ID works with certain of their equipment and not with others. They offered to come to my house and install new boxes that will work will Universal Caller ID. I don't think I'll bother, however. Caller ID on the telephone itself is probably all I really need.
