I have had the worst experience trying to get my call waiting feature removed from my phone service. In fact, we need all features removed from the phone line, but call waiting is the one we are having trouble getting removed. I've contacted customer service on many occasions, even spent 3 hours yesterday in an Xfinity Store and have been assured it has been removed, but when we test it, it is still providing a beep when someone calls in and they are hearing it ring when I'm on the line with someone else. My husband works from home and can not return to work with his company until this is permanently fixed. So he is at risk of losing his job over this. We need this fixed immediately, so that this does not happen. The last person I spoke to said it may take up to 24 hours to resolve. But we had already previously called in about this in June and it wasn't fixed then.
Hi srheard1995 -- I can help with your call waiting issue. I reviewed your account and I'm not showing this feature active anymore. Can you confirm call waiting has been removed?
No, that is the problem, it shows that it is not active, but when tested, my husband still hears a beep and the person calling just hears ringing....it needs to be a busy signal.
Thanks for the update. I reviewed one of our back end programs and did find where it hadn't been fully disabled. I've completed that process. Can you test to see if you're no longer hearing the beep?
