Call Transfer From Home Service to Another Phone when Service Goes Down.

Call Transfer From Home Service to Another Phone when Service Goes Down.

Comcast needs to step it up on their options for call forwarding your service to another phone number in case their service goes down. Vonage has a feature that if I'm using my primary phone, I have a secondary number for the phone call coming in to go to. It also will send it to an email if that secondary line is also busy. This way I NEVER EVER miss a call. No One Could Ever Tell Me "I tried to call you" when they didn't. As it stands now if I'm on my primary phone or the service goes down, it only goes to email and I may miss an important call. I know they have a transfer feature, but it must be turned on and off and that's only good for vacations and such.

Are you having CDV issues that need addressing?  You certainly should not have any regular outages with your CDV service.

If you having service issues, it can be escalated to get you trouble free CDV service.

Jay I think the OP wants to do "Call Forwarding on Busy" so that if a call comes in while he is on the phone, it gets transfered over to his cell phone or another voice line.

Here is a link to the Digital Voice features and how to use them/invoke them.

Go down to Call Forwarding and click on it to see how to initiate Call forwarding.

James

I am taking it that his CDV goes down and he wants automatic transfer of his incoming calls like Vonage and ATT CallVantage do.

His CDV certainly shouldn't be going down on a regular basis, that's why I asked if he is having service issues that need addressing.

So far, he hasn't come back.
