Billing Question

Hello All,

 

Was wondering if someone could help me out with determining what this additional cost is.

 

I'm a new comcast/xfinity subscriber and I went the route of obtaining my own DOCSIS Modem for Internet to avoid "renting/leasing" a modem from comcast/xfinity.  I returned the provided Modem/Gateway when I received my Self-Install Kit in the mail using their self-addressed packaging.  

 

Am I still being charged for leasing out a comcast/xfinity modem although I'm not using one?

 

This shows up under the section in the bill:

 

"Additional Xfinity Internet Services"

[D3 Voice Equipment]      8/14 - 9/13    $7.00

Yep that's the modem rental, you might call in to make sure it's been received yet and if not that's why the charge is still on there
