2nd Phone Jack on modem

2nd Phone Jack on modem

Just received and installed new modem with duel wifi and voice. I have 2 phone numbers. The 2nd phone jack on the modem connects but is full of static and feedback noise. 1st phone jack works fine. It is deffenatly the 2nd jack on the modem because when I switch the phone lines I get the same results

Did you activate the gateway with comcast?  If yes, you may need to have the gateway swapped out ( bad box ).
