Sometimes I'll glance over and notice the WiFi light on my new modem and forth light from the top is rapidly flashing or blinking. This happens if I'm online or not online even with my home PC turned off and I don't use any other devices except for my lone home PC. The question is: Is someone attempting to log on to my router/modem when that happens? If so, how do I know for certain that my system is completely protected from outside intrusions?

If you don't have the WiFi security feature/s set up then you need to ASAP.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I will rest comfortably tonight knowing that my WiFi is secured to the highest level possible. After reading your reply EG and its sense of emergency I unplugged my modem right then and there and waited until this morning to take the proper steps to secure my network and WiFi connection. Thanks again.
