For a while now my laptop's wi-fi access says "limited connectivity"
I have tried to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network, but every time it says "limited connectivity."
This connection will not let my laptop use the internet.
Welcome to the Forum. Sorry you are having trouble.
you might be having some interference. you could try moving the laptop closer to the Router for test.
You could also do this series of commands at the Dos PromptClick Start/Click Run/type cmd in the box and hit enter.
That will give you a blinking cursor called a Dos Prompt
netsh int ip reset log.txtipconfig /flushdnsipconfig /registerdnsnetsh winsock resetshutdown /rThe above sequence will restack ip, Flush and reregister the dns cache, do the winsock fix and restart your PC.
I attempt what you have stated, but I get something that states that I need an elevation. Can you help me with this?
Run the commands from a computer administrator's account.
EG, that is how I have been running them. There are no other accounts on my laptop. I am the only user.
Right click on the Command Prompt icon / choice under *Start* >>> *All Programs* >>> *Accessories* and select "Run As Administrator".
Thank you. That worked on the flush and refresh, but still no joy on connecting to internet.
