Referrals to XFinity Home

Referrals to XFinity Home

I'm a client of Xfinity.  I have the voice, internet, cable, and home... for many years now but just added Home services for almost a year now.  I have 3 of my friends that are interested in Xfinity Home and notice that they have a program for Refer a Friend $100.00 for them and $100.00 for me.  When I go to the website to get the information for a referral reward card, after I put in my account number and other information it asks for, I get the following message not allowing me to go further:

Looks like you need a new Referral Reward card showing your invitation code.

Our records indicate that you have not been an XFINITY® Home customer for 90 days.  For more information, please call 1-800-526-3268.

I have been a client for a long time.  When I called yesterday, I, once again, got someone on the phone who did not really care.  Then proceeded to tell me that other people have reported this, and her manager will research and get back to me.  Of course, no one calls back.

I have had my share of issues with XFinity.  So sad it has been.  Repeated phone calls for issues when I had Home first installed.  I gave them the benefit of the doubt this time thinking maybe after the past year they've ironed out their difficulties in the industry.  Guess I'm wrong.  They have a referral system that is obviously full of flaws but yet are asking their clients to refer.  If I didn't love my services so much, I would of resigned them a while ago.  And I really needed the money, so I talked the talk to my friends.  Even told them to hold off and I'll get them $100.00 for joining.  Sad, really sad, that Comcast or NBC doesn't step in and say enough is enough and revamp where they are so lacking, South Florida.  Bad Service, Broken Promises, and now more lies.

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

I have been trying all day to register on your referrals page and every time I click the "Get Started" tab, I get the following message:

"Currently, the XFINITY® Refer-A-Friend program is focusing on the needs of our customers and employees are not eligible. We are working diligently to make the program available to our employees as soon as possible."

I am not an employee! I have also tried calling the number for the referral service and I was on hold for over 30 minutes!

This is ridiculous!

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

Some people are lucky.  My friend got the Visa $100 card, but I did not.  This has been gong on for almist a year.  it took her 6 months to get her card.  Now when I call I am on hold for at least 45 minutes and then a voice comes on and says there is no one to answer my call, please call back.  What a scam!

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

Good luck.  I have been trying for a year and they keep saying they will look into it.  It took by friend 6 months of persistence to get hers.  CAn we say scam?

I still have not heard anything back on this. My referral already had his installation complet3d. Will this ever be resolved?

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

It only took an ondinatee amount of phone calls and a long time, but I finally DID get my rewards card only to find out I only had 3 months to use it before I would be charged a $3.00 use fee.  My advice is to use it the day after you get it.  It only took 3 months of constant phone calls, but some of us are stubborn!

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

So far all I have gotten is "A ticket has been opened for you" but no action on that ticket.

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

FINALLY!  After many phone calls and being put on hold for 45 minutes at a time, someone said they would get back to me.  Never received a call, but just recently received the referral gift card.  If I had known it would be like pulling teeth, I never would have done it.

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

Hi Everyone...

I'm trying to work with Shannon to get this taken care of. Can everyone confirm this is the link you started off at?

http://referafriend.comcast.com/FAQ

This applies to ALL Xfinity services and seems to work as well as tells you how to register and send the links to your friends. If you did this already and your friends are having issues or you are waiting on gift cards after they met the time period please let us know.

If you used another link just for Xfinity Home please let me know. I validated the phone number on the site and it is the correct one for any Refer a Friend questions. If that proves unsuccessful I'm here to help...

Still have questions about your enrollment in XFINITY® Refer-A-Friend? Contact us at 1-877-435-6683 (8:30am-5pm EST).

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

When I try to access the site it gives me a message telling me that the promotion is for non-employees only. It has been doing this for well over a month. My referral already has his service. I am not an employee so I should have received the promotion.

Keep being persistent.  After 6 months I finally got mine.

Re: Referrals to XFinity Home

Ok, thank you. Can you private message me the login ID you tried to use? Also, if your friend has had service for 30 days you're almost there. After 60 days is when the promo kicks in for you.

Thanks for the patience and referral!

Matt
