we do not have dial tone,no incoming and outside calls,need to have dial tone for medical purposes,it is where i get my informations due to my health condition,i am a cancer patient,so very important for us to have phone work.
First thing to troubleshoot is to press the small "reset" button on the back of your Comcast EMTA phone adapter.
Next look at the LED's on the Comcast EMTA phone adapter and report what are lit solid, flashing or dark.
Always start troubleshooting your phone issues by plugging in a known good wired phone directly to the L1 jack on your Comcast EMTA and test the phone. If it then works, then it is a issue with your inside wiring, jacks and phone equipment in your home.
If it doesn't work with a wired phone directly connected to the EMTA, do a live chat with Comcast for help.
