webmail update 3/25/2015

xfinity  sent an e-mail yesterday saying I need to update or have service suspended. When I clinked on tha attached link I received a webpage unavailable message. Is this a legitimate message?

No, it is not.  Be glad that it gave you the webpage unavailable message.

I don't use IE, but I think this is probably the same.....whenever you receive an email that includes a link, hover your mouse over it and then look at the bottom of the page where you should also see a URL; compare them and if they're not the same, do not click on the link.

As Again said-------it's a phishing scam of some kind.  No legitimate organization is going to send you an email threatening to suspend or delete your account if you don't provide them with personal information.  See here--------------------
