using Comcast email address after canceling Comcast services

As of 2/13/17 I have been told by three Comcast agents that I can continue to use my comcast.net email after canceling internet/tv/voice service (due to moving to an area not serviced by Comcast).

 

However, not one agent could provide actual documentation, even after staying on the phone with them for a very long time while they searched.

 

Looking for confirmation that this is actually true before I take their word for it. I would like to continue using the email address indefinitely.

 

I know that I can transfer the email in the account to another email address, but I'm looking for confirmation that I can continue to use the email account as is, with no changes, after Comcast service is canceled.
