In some cases, marking an incoming message as "Spam" or Junk Mail will cause subsequent email from that same sender to b diverted into the Spam Folder or Junk Mail box.

In addition to what JamesR said, if you are referring to actually spam, marking them as such will take time to work, and you have to keep marking them.  If you mean you want to block a particular sender, you can set up a filter in your settings to do that.  If so post back.
