stop email account transfer

stop email account transfer

A long time ago I opted to have my gmail account emails delivered to my comcast email account, as they came in, thinking it would be easier to read them all in one location. I would like to stop this transfer, but have found nothing on how to do so. Lots of info on how to get started on a transfer from gmail to Comcast, but nothing on how to stop or reverse it.

Also, I have 2 different comcast addresses. I am required to use my first address and password to sign in and then I'm transferred to the 2nd address with no sign of the first.

If someone could point me in the right direction to get these issues solved, I would be most grateful!

Re: stop email account transfer

I cannot help you with your second issue but I can tell you how to stop gmail from forwarding to your Comcast email.

Sign in to gmail.

Click the drop down arrow next to the Gear image on the right side of the page.

Choose Settings.

Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

The first thing listed is Forwarding.

Click the drop down arrow in the field next to Forward a copy of incoming mail to and delete your Comcast email address.

You will be asked to confirm that you want to disable email forwarding, click OK.

Scroll down the page and click Save Changes.
