re-arranging folders in email inbox

When in my email page, the columns at the left listing the file folders......I want to re-arrange these folders by moving some at the bottom of the list to the top of the list, etc. How do I do this?

Re: re-arranging folders in email inbox

The folders will sort themselves alphabetically by default.  But you can use numerical order if you don't want them alphabetical. Put a number as the first character in each folder name and they will display in that sequence-- ie: 1--2--3--4-- and so on.  This only applies to folders you have created.  The default folders cannot be edited, moved or deleted.

Just an observation on my part;  I learned that little trick when I was poking around in my old Yahoo account.  It works the same in Yahoo email.  I'd bet it also works in most other webmail programs like Outlook.com, Gmail, Mail.com, and others.  Also, it will do the same thing if you use letters instead of the numbers, like a,b,c and so forth, although that will still alphabetize depending on the names of the folders.
