"slow to respond"

I have been having the following problem with my email. Suddenly, whenever I define any simple instruction, such as “read message” or “send message,” the system hangs up for a minute or so, and then I get the message: “The server or the network is slow to respond. To cancel your request, press ‘Cancel Request.’ “

If I cancel, and then repeat an instruction, the same thing happens. If I close out the email window, then re-open it, then everything os OK, for a while.

How do I fix this problem?

Try clearing out your browser's cache/browsing history. When you have done that, close out the browser and re-start it in a fresh session.

If that doesn't do it, then try using a different browser and see if you can duplicate the problem that way.
