"not spam" keeps going to spam folder

My husband keeps getting email from a trusted friend that always goes to his spam folder. Every single time. Not once has an email from this friend gone to his inbox. Even when it is a reply to an email originated by my husband. He marks it as "not spam" every single time. The address is in his address book. This has been happening for months. Is there some way to adjust the spam filter so this friend's emails will start coming through to his inbox?

Adding an address to your address book won't help. Some email providers consider this when deciding whether or not an email is spam, but Comcast does not.

There's nothing you can do without help from Comcast. Their Security Assurance group might be able to help you with this. Give them a call at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/help/report-abuse/). Note that this is NOT one of the general customer service numbers.

The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
