"A web page is slowing down your browser" message

"A web page is slowing down your browser" message

I keep getting the message "A web page is slowing down your browser" when I try to watch video clips after clicking through on the xfinity home page, and am given the choice to stop it or wait. If I wait, nothing ever happens. If I stop it, I can't watch the videos and get the message again. The ONLY web page I have open is the xfinity page and I'm trying to watch on the xfinity page. So, what's going on? How can I fix this? I'm on an iMac connected to a cable modem. I don't have problems with any other pages or sites, just xfinity. Thanks-
