problems replying to e mails

Comcast Tech visited my office a few days back, replaced the box as the old one was malfunctioning. Since then, computer works well EXCEPT everytime I try to respond to an email and Error Message appears and I'm told to contact my inernet server. I have dialed the number several times (800 266 2278) go through the progression and when I'm about to be connected to a support technician, the telephone line disconnects.  What's up? very frustrating

You mention an office-------do you have a business class account?  If so they have their own support forums here-----------------
