What happens when you try to delete them? One thing to try--------from the Inbox page, go to Preferences>>>>>Email>>>>>>Email Deletion Schedule. Change the Spam folder to one day. Then 24 + hours later see if they are still there.
Thank you for your reply. I've tried emptying the folder, and everything else disappears except for the three non-existent emails. They also show up on my iMac on occasion and then disappear. I'll try your solution and let you know.
You have piqued my curiosity. I also am using an iMac, and Mac Mail. I have never encountered the issue you describe in either Mail or in the Comcast webmail. Did you try deleting the individual messages in the Spam folder instead of emptying the folder?
OK in that case, have you tried clearing your browser's cache/browsing history and then re-starting it? Or maybe try with a different browser to see if you can duplicate the issue that way?
