Why won't outlook 2016 not work with comcast.
Ready to dump both after hours and hours on the phone with both companiescomcast

Please make sure that your settings are the following for you account setup

 

Incoming server: imap.comcast.net

Authentication ON

Incoming Port:  993 with SSL ON

 

Outgoing server: smtp.comcast.net

Outgoing Port:

465 with SSL ON

Thanks for posting the server settings.

 

They worked for me.

 

Outlook 2016 desktop client has a setup wizard that did not automatically connect, so I had to use manual settings.

 

I was glad I found your posting, as Xfinity's web site did not make the information easy to find.

Thanks Mike. My outlook works after using the settings you provided. The instructions on the comcast support has the wrong settings for the outgoing server. Here is the link:

Neither of the posted settings works for me.  Full Comcast version and OL 2016. Frustrating.
