outgoing comcast e-mail being truncated

I've been having issues with outgoing messages. 


for three messages, I have sent a short e-mail with a URL, using plain text... and when the receipient receives it, the message is truncated, missing about half of the text.


First I thought it was just sending to gmail, but today, when I sent to both gmail and yahoo (two different receipients) both received the same truncated message.


this points to something strange going on with my outgoing message.


I've been using the same email client for years (Entourage 2008), and this has just started.


what is going on???


As far as I know, this only happens when I'm sending under POP mode.  when I'm sending via web interface, Xfinity e-mail app, it doesn't happen.


but the three messages that were truncated all included URLs. (direct copy-and-paste from the URL address)


messages are probably less than 300 characters.  and it's sent in plain text, so no hidden characters, etc.
