missing emails

Some emails from the past year that I moved to folders under my inbox are missing.  They appear to have been deleted.  Many of these emails are important, house documents, letters from relatives, other important information that is not easily replaceable.  Please help.

 

I have used comcast email for many years.  You changed the format in late 2016 or early 2017?   I must have these emails,  how do I retrieve them?

Did you try running a search for any of the missing messages?

Yes I have searched for them.  The folders are set to "do not archive"  The missing emails are of importance, they need to be reinstated.  Also if comcast will be deleting  my emails I am going to switch servers, I can't have this happen.

Are you using a desktop client like Outlook or Thunderbird?  Comcast has no "archiving" feature.
