I will go to my homepage and see i've got 8 messages in my mailbox, i'll go to my inbox check them all out, go back to my homepage, refresh and it will still show 8 messages. Use to could refresh and the 8 would be gone. Please help me with this.

Clear your browser cache, close and then re-open your browser.  Are they still there?

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
