intercepting forwarded email

I am having a verification code sent to my email address, but it appears that all incoming emails are forwarded to the site requesting the verification. How can I intercept the forwarded email, or stop them being forwarded, or access a file where there might be a copy? Will your reply come here, or it self also be forwrded before I can see it?

You need to check your account settings to see if you have auto-forwarding enabled for the other email address.  If you are still in the old email format, from the Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>>>Email>>>>>>Email Forwarding.  If you are in the new format, on the Inbox page click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the page, then on Settings.  Under Mail you will see Auto Forward.
