Are you using only the Comcast webmail UI, or Mac Mail?  If you are using the webmail, what happens when you try to sign into it?  Be specific.

 

Also---------I don't know if the age of your OS X version has anything to do with it in the case of webmail, but it's possible.  Try switching from the default Full version of Xfinity Connect to the Lite version.  From your Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>General>>>>>>Versions.  Make the change and go back to the Inbox.  The Lite version was intended for use with older versions of operating systems or browsers.
