Suddenly the email addresses I reply to are now being added to my address book on webmail. They don't appear when I look at my address book, but are present when I click on "To" to select an email address. How do I stop this and How do I delete the unwanted addresses? Thanks. Debbij
Whenever you reply to an email address that is NOT in your address book, the system will always include it when you click on TO. Eventually tho, it will drop off on its own.
Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.
I agree. This "feature" is relatively new and almost appears to have been added just to irritate users. I'm seeing entries for "noreply@...", etc appearing in my "To" list. Things which aren't even legitimate email addresses. I know Comcast/Xfinity does not want to be an email host and is encouraging people to go to pop services, but I did not expect them to intentionally irritate users. Since this was added, it can be taken away too.
Has ANYONE found a solution to this problem ? Re: how to stop auto add to address book
( Whenever you reply to an email address that is NOT in your address book, the system will always include it when you click on TO: ) I DONT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN ....
Is there a way to stop the action of automatic add to the address book ?
When typing new email TO: field on email from auto populating.
Just so you know, there is another thread about this problem.
No satisfactory answers there either tho.
