Comcast email is webmail, and there is no read receipt function in it. To do that you need to use a desktop client like Mozilla Thunderbird, Mac Mail (if you have a Mac), Outlook or some other that has that capability. Even then, compliance is strictly voluntary on the part of the recipient.
No. But you can set it up if you enable the account using a desktop client like Outllook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail or some other. They have the capability of using Read reciepts.
It's nothing peculiar to Comcast. I don't know of any web based email account that has Read reciepts capability. But most of the better known desktop clients do have it. Email accounts from ISPs like Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, Bell South, Cox, etc------that's all webmail. AT&T and Verizon are actually Yahoo email under the hood. Comcast uses Zimbra.
Actualy, TWC's web based email does have the capability.
