How can I get back my old email address <Edited for personal information>?

Did you try just re-creating the old account as a secondary account to see if it's still available?  If no one else has taken your old user ID you should be able to.  When you cancel service, the user ID (that part of the address to the left of the @ symbol) is suspended for 90 days, and then it just goes back into the available pool of user IDs for any other Comcast customer that want's it.  If it's still available and you are able to set it up as a secondary, you can always change it back to the primary account.

 

Can't hurt to try.
