Just wondering . . . Why does the Xfinity email program prompt me "Are you sure?" when I delete spam, but no such prompt when I delete something from my inbox?

It only does that in the old email format.  I think the reason is that when you delete something from the Inbox, it goes to the Trash folder for whatever length of time you have the deletion schedule set for.  So if you change your mind you could still recover the message.  You can't do that from the Spam folder because when you delete a message from Spam it's just gone.

 

The new email format does not prompt you for either Inbox or Spam folders.
