export mailing list

I need to export several mail list groups to an offline format (excel). How do I do that?

Re: export mailing list

If you are still on the old email format, you can export your whole address book.  From the Inbox page go to Address Book, and on the landing page click on "Export All".  There is no way to break out just certain groups.  If you are on the new format, the Export function is down for the time being due to a bug in the software.

Re: export mailing list

If you're using the new webmail format, the export option is still missing. Until Comcast incorporates such a basic feature back in, the only way I have found so far involves a multi-step process using Outlook and is a pain to say the very least.

1. Go go to your Comcast address book and select your contacts (unfortunately in groups of 20 max).

2. Then, under More Options, pick "Send as vCard" and email it to yourself. It will send the selected contacts as individual vCard attachments.

3. Open the email and save the attachments to a folder.

4. Provided you have Outlook, open and save each vCard attachment. This will import the contact(s) into Outlook. If you already have contacts in Outlook, be aware this will merge them into the existing Outlook address book.

5. In Outlook, you can "export to a file" all your contacts to a .csv file or other formats.

This same process can be used if you are trying to import your Comcast address book into Office 365. The exported .csv file is easily read into 365.
