Just want to know if there is a way to block emails if you are not going to have computer access for a week or so

the easiest way would be to set up a filter to discard any incoming emails.  If you are still in the old email format, from the Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>.Email>>>>>Email Filtering and follow the prompts.  If you are in the new format, on the Inbox page click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page,  then on Settings.  Under Mail you will see Filter Rules.   Just understand that if you do this the messages will be dumped before they hit your Inbox, and there will be no way to retrieve any of them.

 

If the account in question is a secondary account you can also suspend it from My Account.  But I don't know if it would get pending emails after you turn it back on again.
