* I have Microsoft Windows 7 on my computer

* I have Google Chrome

* I use Comcast.net email

 

How do I dowload from google and my email to a word file; presently all I get is a Chrome file which

when I open is empty

Like all webmail programs, Comcast email is a webpage.  There is no easy way to do what you are describing.  You could set the account up in an email client like outlook or Thunderbird, and then you would have it on the computer.  That would give you other options like saving it as a PDF file or something.  I don't have Outlook so I can't say if it will let you do that or not.  Another option would be to copy and paste the message into a Word document.  You can save an email from Comcast to the computer, but it will be as a webpage only.

 

Of course you can insert a link to the email in Word.
