Re: email

Run a search for them using that date range, then when they are found, use the "Select all" box at the top of the message list, and hit Delete in the toolbar.  Or in the new format use the Trash can icon.  Here  are the search criteria-------------------------------

In the new email format, the keywords in the Help article no longer seem to work. Instead, I have to enter

    10/5/2012-1/16/2016

in the Search box and then select "as daterange" from the dropdown.

I tried it and got the same result you did.  Apparently, the information at that link is only for the old format, so they have some updating to do.  But I tried it on the old format and I can't get it so search for any more than a single date.  Not a range.

This worked for me in the old format:

    after:10/4/2012 before:1/17/2016
