email

logged on 10 AM this morning, email was fine. Clicked on the sort button to change my email arrangment from date to "from sender". Upon doing this I lost all of my inbox, all folders in "My Folders" my trash and sent folders were empty as well. I use chrome on a surface pro logging directly into xfinity.com. At approx. 10:45 this morning I contacted xfinity chat. After 1 1/2 of a representative and a supervisor the issue still was NOT resolved. I am beyond disgusted. I have a copy of the chat transcript form this morning if you want it. As I told the supervisor this AM, if this is not corrected I will contact regional comcast to voice my displeasure

I'm going to escalate this to the forum administrator to see if someone can look at your account.

Re: email

Hi irish510 -- Apologies for this email folder issue. You mentioned using Chrome on a Surface Pro. Have you tried any other browsers? Have you tried any other devices such as a mobile device?

Re: email

Helps narrow that down. So you can see your emails and folders on your mobile device but not through the web portal. What happens if you change your email arrange back to how it was? Or any other arrangement?

Re: email

I tried to chage it back from "sort" to "date"  (order emails appear in the inbox)  nothing happens. Emails prior to the date and time in question poofed, I am getting new emails,

Re: email

I used the first option and it does look like some unopened emails are in there.  I will have to go through them by scanning to see what is important before bringing them all back.  My main question.......why did clicking onto the "sort" option from the "date" option in the inbox display panel cause this to happen?

Re: email

That may not have an answer to it. Best answer is that it was a glitch that caused them all to disappear like that. It's encouraging that you were able to recover some of these using that option.
