I can not open new comcast email error pops up saying my browser is out dated i have ie11 windows 7. I could not go on this forum untill i switched to google chrome

Did you try updating IE-11?
This example is for IE-10, but I think it's pretty much the same with 11--------------------------
I have a Windows 10 laptop with IE-11 on it. I can open the new format email. My version of IE is different than yours. I think mine is slightly older than yours. I also have the box checked to auto-update, so it seems odd to me that we have different versions. Be that as it may, IE is slowly sinking into the valley. As time goes on it will be able to access fewer and fewer websites and pages. I can only suggest using Chrome or Firefox for the Xfinity website and email.
I checked and i do have the latest IE 11 browser assume comcast and IE are not friendly. The website to check your browser is whatismybrowser.com. I am using Google Chrome for now until someone comes up with a fix.

One other thing comes to mind; Are you still on the old email format? It looks like this---------------
If you are, go to Preferences>>>>>>General>>>>>Version. Switch to the Lite version of XC. It will save automatically. Go back to the email. It will look a lot different. But maybe it will work for you. Lite was intended for people using older versions of Windows or an older version of a browser. If it works then great. But understand that at some point you will be migrated to the new format, and there is no "Lite" version.
Try clearing out the cache/browsing history. When you have done that, close out IE and re-start it in a fresh session.
Have tried that several times and no luck.
I am reading a lot of posts about email problems here is a contact person for comcast to air complaints Tom Karinshak CEO at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have already made contact and if enough people complain about the email issue something may be done.
I'm sorry you are having problems, but this is not because the webmail is not designed to work with IE11. I use IE11 in the office frequently with no issues. Also, the fact that you couldn't get to the forums on IE11 points to a different problem (they are two completely separate systems.) Doing a Google search this seems to be a fairly widespread issue across the internet and I believe this particular link might prove helpful to you.

I reset IE 11 Email started working fine but when i went to do internet search from xfinity home page i got a blank page of results. I added xfinty.com to the compatibility view and done a search and got the links then clicked on email found it quit working got the same error outdated version of IE so email quit working again. Getting disgusted all was well until the new email format was released.
