How do I retrieve old emails ?

Email Expert

Re: email

We need better information.  How are you accessing your email?  Are you using the old email format or the new one?  Are these messages you deleted, or you just can find them or what?  How old are you talking about?

Re: email

Latoque

I've been using comcast.net email site since 2009 .

I access emails by logging into comcast.net

Comcast would know if its old or new format. Comcast doesn't  say if its old or new format.

Emails were sent over a month ago and never deleted.

They don't show on the "in" or "out" basket screen.

Does this help?

Re: email

The Comcast webmail UI doesn't have an "out basket".  Are you using a desktop email client like Outlook or Thunderbird?  The old email format looks like this---------------

The new one looks like this--------------------

Re: email

My Comcast webmail looks like the first example you sent.

I mistakenly used the wrong description "out basket", shud have said "Sent" folder.

No ,I don't use Outlook or Thundrbird.

Tonight I'm able to see "Inbox" emails back 14 months. This is an improvement from yesterday

But I cannot scroll back to see more than 1 month of "Sent " emails.

Comcast  "email usage 3% of 10GB"

Thanks for followup. I appreciate your time and effort.

Re: email

OK then you need to check your deletion schedule for the Sent folder.  From the Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>>Email>>>>>>>>Email Deletion Schedule.  I think 30 days is the default.  You can change it the way you want there.
