how do I delete a user name at sign in?  I have one that always pops up and it shouldn't be there

reasd failed to understand what you want to do.

 

If you follow the directions provided in the link by reasd you will end up deleting the account, which is not what you are asking about. Deleting the user account will cause everything associated with that account to disappear.

 

What you are seeing in the sign-in box is a different user account name and you do not want it there. This is a function of your browser, which may be set to remember the user names which sign in. For internet explorer it is called auto completed and can be disabled.

 

To get rid of it, clear the cache. This will remove it. 

 

If you need help clearing the cache, please post the name of the browser you are using and someone will give you instructions.

 

If you use internet explorer, you don't have to clear the cache. You can clear only auto complete.

Control Panel/Internet Options/Content tab/click Settings next to Auto Complete/Delete Auto Complete history.

 

While there you can choose to uncheck User names and passwords on forms.

The instructions are for Firefox, but may work for other browsers as well.
