I have an iPhone(5C) and often get an error msg when attempting to SEND emails

The msg is a lower case i with circle around it-saying user name and'or password is incorrect. I've set and reset the password, deleted and re-installed the account and it keeps happening. My local Verizon store finally said-"talk to Comcast"-anybody have

suggestions??

You have to set the password in two places on the iPhone.  Once for the incoming server and once for the outgoing one.  Navigate to the screen where you set the incoming password, then scroll down to SMTP.  Tap on that and then tap on the smtp.comcast.net server and you will see the password setting again.
